Sharing contacts in Shoretel portal

Shoretel allows you to save a list of personal contacts in the portal. You can export this list and share it with other Shoretel users but you have to do some modification to the file first.

Sign into the Mitel (Shortel) portal and click on the HOME tab. Select Personal Contacts.

Click the Export button

Your contacts will be saved your Downloads folder as PersonalPhonebook.txt

Go to your Downloads folder and open the file

The file downloads with Name,Phone Number,Speed Dial,Note

HOWEVER the import only allows you to use Name,Phone Number,Note so we will need to remove the Speed Dial entries.

The file should be open in NOTEPAD

press CTRL + H to open the Find and replace window and type "0", in the FIND WHAT box

then press REPLACE ALL

remove the txt from the top line for Speed Dial,

Save the file and close it.

Right click the file and RENAME the file from PersonalPhonebook.txt to PersonalPhonebook.csv

Send this .csv file to the other user(s) and they can use the IMPORT button to copy this file to their contacts.
